Technical and Managerial Support for Strengthening the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) system and for Conducting an Impact Evaluation of the One WASH National Program (OWNP)

The project supported Ethiopia's One WaSH National Programme (OWNP) to strengthen accountability by operationalising the Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WaSH) monitoring and evaluation (M&E) system at the federal, regional, and woreda levels.

The assignment enabled the generation of reliable, timely, and evidence-based information to improve sector planning and decision-making.

M&E Systems Strengthening

Provided technical and managerial support to operationalise the national WaSH M&E system across all administrative levels.

Institutional Support

Strengthened the capacity of the National WaSH Coordination Office (NWCO) to manage and coordinate the M&E system.

Evidence-Based Decision Making

Improved the availability of reliable and timely data to support planning, monitoring, and sector performance.

Systems Coordination

Supported the standardisation and effective implementation of WaSH monitoring processes across the programme.
